Doral, FL – New Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez, was sworn in this Wednesday, January 25th at 10:00 am.
With the presence of Mayor Christi Fraga, Vice Mayor Rafael Pineyro, families, friends, and colleagues attended the ceremony in the City of Doral Council Chambers, located at 8401 NW 53rd Terrace, 3rd floor, Doral, FL 33166.
Chief Lopez was previously the Chief of Police for the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department where his leadership exemplified his experience and knowledge that will be key in taking Doral Police Department to the next level.
His proven track record in successfully hiring and retaining quality officers will be beneficial to Doral as our community continues to grow, requiring more police presence with an emphasis on community policing, and forward-thinking law enforcement strategies to keep our City safe.
