Miami-Dade, FL – Twenty-five mayors from municipalities across Miami-Dade today announced their endorsement of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava in her reelection campaign. During her time as Mayor, Levine Cava has built a government that listens, responds, and innovates for the future by prioritizing public safety and lowering gun violence, protecting our environment, standing up for workers’ rights, promoting government accountability, prioritizing housing affordability, and much more. Local leaders know they can count on Mayor Levine Cava to meet the needs of their communities.
“I am proud to support Mayor Levine Cava because she shows true leadership during challenging times,” says Village of Palmetto Bay Mayor Karyn Cunningham. “Her accessibility and devotion to our community are unmatched. She’s always ready to work together and constantly striving to make our lives better. She shows up, stands up, and makes sure that all of our voices are heard, focusing on the things that our residents have said are top priorities to them- public safety, recreational spaces, thriving small businesses, and a sustainable Miami-Dade County.”
“Mayor Levine Cava is more than just a leader; she’s a tireless advocate for Miami-Dade residents,” says South Miami Mayor Javier Fernandez. “I’ve had the honor of knowing Daniella for over 20 years, and her focus has always been on helping the people of Miami-Dade County. She’s everywhere all the time, listening to our concerns and taking action to improve our lives. Her commitment to solving problems for the people is exactly why I enthusiastically support her reelection.”
“Few public officials these days are as devoted to solving problems as Mayor Daniella Levine Cava,” says Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber. “She never cares about taking credit, only about getting the job done. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called her with an issue and her answer is always ‘how can I help!” Miami-Dade County is so fortunate to have DLC steering our ship.”
“Mayor Levine Cava is an incredible leader who has always worked to uplift our community and make progress for everybody,” says Miami Gardens Mayor Rodney Harris. “Our Mayor has taken more than 2,500 illegal guns off the street, she’s bringing more affordable housing for Miami-Dade working families, and she’s creating new opportunities for our kids. I’m proud to support our Mayor because she always shows up for our community, and Mayor Daniella doesn’t just fight for us – she delivers for us.”
“Mayor Daniella Levine Cava is doing a great job as our County Mayor,” says Miami Springs Mayor Maria Puente Mitchell. “She is accessible and attentive to municipal governments like ours and works with us to address issues and meet residents’ needs.”
“As mayor, I work hand-in-hand with our municipal leaders to get things done for the people of Miami-Dade – making progress on safety, housing, the environment, transportation, and more. I am honored to receive the endorsement of twenty-five mayors across the county who have been my valued partners in public service,” says Mayor Levine Cava. “Guided by vision, integrity, and results, we have accomplished so much over the past three years. Now, I am running for reelection because there is still much work to be done in the fight for a safer, more prosperous, future-ready Miami-Dade.”
These major mayoral endorsements come after the South Florida AFL-CIO celebrated their members’ endorsement of Mayor Levine Cava on Labor Day, for her strong pro-union leadership and work to protect the interests and welfare of working people.
With over 40 years of dedicated public service to the South Florida community, Mayor Levine Cava has consistently delivered results that have improved the lives of millions in Miami-Dade County. From her instrumental role in passing the first property tax cut in over a decade to helping over 25,000 families facing eviction stay in their homes by securing more than half a billion dollars in the county budget to expand housing options, Mayor Levine Cava has spent her career working tirelessly for the people of Miami-Dade County. Daniella Levine Cava is the first woman and first Jewish person elected to serve as Miami-Dade County Mayor.
