“J.C.” Planas Raises over $50,000 for Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections

Miami-Dade, Fla. — Candidate for Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Juan Carlos “J.C.” Planas closed September with a fundraising haul of more than $50,000 through his campaign and political committee raised from a bipartisan network of supporters showcasing the trust JC has earned through his commitment to defending election integrity for all voters. This significant milestone follows a successful campaign kickoff on National Voter Registration Day last month, emphasizing the campaign’s dedication to upholding the principles of a robust democracy.

“I am honored and humbled by the support we’ve received in our mission to continue Miami-Dade’s legacy of safe, free, and fair elections for all,” says J.C. Planas. “As the next Supervisor of Elections, I will defend our democracy while making sure every eligible voter has the access and ability to exercise their civic rights.” 

A seasoned public servant and leading ethics and elections attorney, Planas brings a wealth of experience to the table, promising efficient, accurate, and trustworthy administration of elections across Miami-Dade County. His bipartisan support is a result of his extensive experience and unwavering commitment to preserving the sanctity of elections, resonating with voters across party lines.

J.C. Planas has spent decades serving the community as a former Assistant State Attorney, a member of the Miami-Dade Children’s Trust, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, and a Board Member for the National Fragile X Foundation. His eight years in the Florida House of Representatives, coupled with his role as a professor of election law and state and local government at the St. Thomas University School of Law, showcases his deep commitment to public service. A dedicated husband and father, J.C. resides in East Kendall with his wife, Viviana, and their two children.
