Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez hosted the District 11 Tree Lighting this Friday evening, at Kendall Lakes Branch Library, 15205 SW 88th St., Miami, FL 33196.
Families: parents, children and grandparents attended the District 11 Tree Lighting in an evening full of fun holiday activities to celebrate the season.
Children enjoyed story time and face painting in addition to pictures with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. A special guest from the North Pole who was also presented.
Holiday refreshments was provided on a first come, first served basis until supplies last. The event was also featured music by DJ AJ.
Commissioner Gonzalez has partnered with Lennar, Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS), Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library, BJ’s, Publix, and Starbucks to make this event possible and spread holiday cheer to residents.
